This is in my opinion the most exciting band coming out of the Columbus music scene. The band mixes sunny, yet experimental, tropical pop with simple yet thoughtful lyrics. They have released two eps in the last year and this track is in my opinion the standout from the ep Walkability. This song consists of a driving, almost tribal beat with simple electronics, interesting sampling, and an infectious guitar riff. The main draw of the song, however, is the honesty in the lyrics. "What is so important/ that you can't pick up your phone?" The distillation of the feelings that one has at the distance between friends is instantly connectible. All in all, a sweet track that leaves one feeling oddly optimistic about the friends we wish were still friends.
